BA (Hons) Footwear Design

DMU welcome applicants from different backgrounds.

You can apply if you have:
- Art and Design Foundation or
- 112 UCAS points from at least 2 A levels
- BTEC Extended Diploma with DMM grades
- International Baccalaureate with 26+ points or
- T Levels with Merit
- Plus, five GCSEs (grades 9-4), including English Language or Literature with at least a grade 4.

If you are applying through an Access Course, you need 30 Level 3 credits at Merit and a GCSE in English (Language or Literature) with a grade of 4 or above. Usually, DMU requires students to have taken a break from full-time education before starting the Access course.

DMU also accept the BTEC First Diploma along with two GCSEs, including English (Language or Literature) at grade 4 or higher.

English Language Requirements

If English is not your first language, you’ll need an IELTS score of 6.0 overall (with 5.5 in each band) or an equivalent score when you start the course.

Students admitted to undergraduate study at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship of £1,500 for their first year of study. Students commencing Postgraduate Taught study (but not the Global MBA) at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship for their first year of study up to £2,000. Students admitted into the Global MBA at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship of £2,500.
