BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science

To be considered for the BSc (Hons) Pharmaceutical Science program at De Montfort University, you must meet the following entry requirements:

Academic Requirements:

• A-levels: Typical entry requirements are BBC at A-level, including Chemistry or Biology.

• BTEC: A DMM in a relevant subject, such as Applied Science or Health Science, is also accepted.

• International Qualifications: International students should have equivalent qualifications to the UK A-levels. For specific country requirements, it's best to check with the university’s admissions office.

English Language Requirements:

• IELTS: A score of 6.0, with no less than 5.5 in any band.

• TOEFL: A minimum of 80 overall, with at least 20 in each section.

If you don't meet the English language requirements, you may need to complete an English language course before starting your degree.

Students admitted to undergraduate study at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship of £1,500 for their first year of study. Students commencing Postgraduate Taught study (but not the Global MBA) at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship for their first year of study up to £2,000. Students admitted into the Global MBA at DMU are automatically awarded an international scholarship of £2,500.

• What practical experience will I gain during the course?

  The program includes laboratory-based learning and a work placement year, providing hands-on experience in pharmaceutical practice. This prepares you for a wide range of roles in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Can I apply if I don't have a Chemistry A-level?

  If you don’t have a Chemistry A-level, you may still be considered for the course if you have a relevant BTEC or equivalent qualifications, such as Biology or Applied Science. Check with the admissions team for more information.
